Engineering professors say ‘flipped classroom’ approach improves learning

The University of Wisconsin newspaper, The Badger Herald,  reported yesterday that,

The hundreds of students graduating from University of Wisconsin’s College of Engineering this spring comprise the first cohort to experience much of their engineering education through what are known as “flipped classrooms.”

The article describes how engineering professors are using the flipped classroom approach to improve learning.   The approach is described as turning “‘B’ students into ‘A’ students.”
